Lake Manyara National Park

The rich green foliage of the ground water forest, tree climbing lions, the soda lake, which is home to thousands of pink-hued flamingos, enormous water birds, and bands of baboons and blue monkeys, as well as the rift valley escarpment, make your safari to this area unique.

The park's name comes from a shrub called Euphorbia tirucalli, also known as Emanyara in Maasai, and it spans 648.7 km2.

The Park has a bi-modal rainfall season, with brief rains from November to December and lengthy rains from February to May, with the dry season falling between late June and October.

It is situated between 850 and 2000 meters above sea level, with an annual rainfall of 650 to 760 millimeters.
